Join Lissa for a monthly self care session that will leave you feeling relaxed and ready to start your week. In Restorative yoga, you will allow yourself to drop in to active relaxation. Your mind is aware of what is around you, while your body is in a state of rest while being propped up by blankets and blocks. Poses are typically held between 5-15 minutes. Essential oils are diffused and soft music allows you to melt completely in the moment.

Lissa Schubert likes to be a creative vessel for her students while teaching.
She wants them to let go and step into their truth. For her, yoga is a moving meditation. It connects her to her true being and she wishes to exhibit that to those around her. She believes that yoga is about creating space and awareness so that we can open up and be a creative energy center for ourselves in all aspects of our lives. Her yoga path started in college for the required gym course. After she left the class, she craved more and searched for classes all over her current location. Most of the classes left her unsatisfied as she found a lot of the teachers would push her into poses that her body was not ready for. She knew then that she wanted to teach yoga and show that it wasn’t about what your body could do but about what your mind could do as well.
After taking a break from the practice after having her daughter, Lissa got inspired and decided to just take the leap and go for it. In 2013, she received her RYT-200 from Rachel Wilson at Om My Yoga Academy. Lissa wants to show all beings that they too can stand in their own power, and that yoga is not just for the body and mind, but for every BODY and mind. She is passionate about creating gentle styled practices that are uplifting, inspiring, and that promote loving kindness and healing. It’s especially satisfying for her to empower those who feel as though they can’t do yoga because of specific limitations. She is here to tell you that YES, you can! Just open your heart, take the leap and celebrate every movement and moment in your own body both on and off the yoga mat.
